P14/16 series:

The rack mount network management optical fiber media converter is specially designed for the construction demand for wide range optical fiber network. It is a 2U rack mount central system with centralized management, which can be installed to the standard 19’’ cabinet. The rack can hold 16 optical fibers conversion modules and 1 network management module. Each module can be independently used; different optical fiber transceiver modules can be inserted in one rack and work simultaneously. The whole system is reliable and stable. Regarding the network management, P14/P16 series provides two options- network management engine case and non- network management engine case. With OM-MNS network management module in the engine case, P14/P16 can realize the comprehensive management on the engine case and all modules. The user can monitor each module in the engine case and connection link through the customization and disposition of the modules. The management module can also carry on the surveillance to the temperature and the ventilator in the engine case, helps the administrator discover the potential danger, and avoids the possible breakdown and failure in advance. 

In the network access, the local end can be centralized managed, but the equipments in the user end (remote-end) are rather dispersible in the physical location. Once failure appears, the maintenance engineering department will receive the calls of the users, and then the engineer will first diagnose the failure place, define the transportation route, and then must rush to the breakdown place as soon as possible. As a result of the busy municipal transportation, the maintaining speed is generally measured by hour, which will cause the user’s disaffection, reduce the quality of the operators’ service.

If failure appears in the remote end, the network management system can automatically defect it and report it to us, you can carry on the remote recovery on the converters in the user end through the network management system. With network management system inside, it can greatly increase the operators’ quick reaction ability, reduce the operators’ daily maintenance work and expenditure, and enhance the operators’ serving quality. 

P14/P16 supports the band width control, can control and assign the network resources effectively, as well as prevent website malicious attack in a certain degree. The operators can have a precise enactment on the upstream and downstream of the converters respectively, which can control band width (a step size is 32k, 0~100M). The operators can revise and enact the band width at any time through network management system, as well as support online revising/closing the band width. MissingLink can transport the operating status of the links on the converter ports, when media switches detect the failure on a port, for example, if one connecting point is ineffective, the media converter will close the other port of the module, by which all other equipments will know the connecting point is ineffective. If relevant redundant mechanism is enacted on related switches, redundant link auto-activation can be realized.
